Food Pantry

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

The food pantry has continued to operate during these difficult times. Clients come to the parking lot on foot, bicycle, or by car and are met by one of our volunteers outside with food and other essential items. In an effort to keep everyone safe we are beginning an hour early and following all the recommendations by the CDC. We appreciate all of the community support! If you have questions, please see the "Contact Us" section of the website. Thank you!

Pastor Mark Applewhite's Office Hours are 10-12NOON, Tuesdays

"The situation of the one who is reading Scripture would probabnly come closest to that in which I read to another person a letter from a friend.  I would not read the letter as though I had written it to myself. The distance between us would be clearly noticeable as it was read.   And yet I would also not be able to read my freind's letter as if it were of no concern to me.  On the contrary, becasue of our close relatioship, I would read it with personal interest.  Proper reading of Scripture is not a technical exercise that can be learned; it is something that grows or diminishes according to my own spiritual condition.  The ponderous, laborious reading of the Bible by many a Christian who has become seasoned through experience often far surpasses a minster's reading, no matter how perfect the latter in form."  Dietrich Bonehoeffer's LIFE TOGETHER, General Editor, Wayne Whitson Flloyd Jr. Minneapolis, MN: FORTRESS PRESS, 1996, p. 64.
